Abstract

This article is based on questions about the relationship between public history, heritage, black invisibility and Law 10.639/03, through reflections on the public nature of heritage and the silencing in patrimonialization processes. For this, in addition to theories about uses and disuses of heritage in their relationship with public history and education, names of public squares located in the center of the municipality of Nova Esperança-PR will be analyzed to verify if these places are configured as spaces that provide heritage education by putting Law 10,639/03 into practice.
